only in jest i say this sandy
i see doc coming in the room jim things look good your estrogen is high and your eggs are releasing as sandy rocks her feet staring at the ceiling:rolleyes: good luck today at the VA |
For everyone who has appointments and such today, Good Luck!
Fin - let me know what you think of the testing. I go to the urologist for the 1st time next week and bladder testing to follow after that. ~~~~ Not sure what I am doing today. Depends on the MS vise grip (I don't call it the MS hug because it is not a warm fuzzy kind of thing). Hopefully the neuro will give me a call early this morning. Left a message on the secretary's voice mail yesterday. "Tragedy" at my house this morning. DD16 spilled make up on her pants. LOL. I think she was a little over tired this morning and reacted in a very emotional way. "Nothing is going right (tears). My day is starting out bad and . . . " Then she almost missed the bus. She did call me when she got to school to apologize for behaving like a "little brat." Oh, the trauma's of being a teen.:D |
back from nero the neuro, first and foremost he says he did not burn down rome it was some irish woman's cow. ok second have ya ever heard of
great occiptital nerve injections joy joy me neither they are gonna give me one of these to help the headache issue and help the occipital neuralgia, oh yeah and am on medro steroids yet again he like me is pretty sure i am having an exesberation or how ever u spell that dang word why cant they call it something simple like episode, i think it was me not feeling the pins in my face or arms or legs or feet or my slurred speech and slouch facial features perhaps it was my 2. 5 inch gait either way i gots darvocets for pain and steroids for life  i am home deb and i went to pharmacy where upon, i as usual, struck up a conversation with someone about life for 40 mints, lol ,god that annoys her so much(shes jealous, im a people magnet) and no it wasnt in the bathroom anywho i am home safe sound as soon as they can squeeze me in for this injection i get it done. it maybe a week though, that isnt good cause the vise grip squeezing my head named chucky is getting beyond annoying at least now i know where the title for the tv show "just shoot me " came from |
Heard from my doctor's nurse a little while ago and all of my tests were normal:D So my ty infusion for tomorow is still on. I can't believe how quickly they got the results.
|
good news on your results and i am not familar with this med so i assume these results were needed so you could continue and or start this med? where abouts are u in ill of noise barb I am in streamwood near elgin
|
I'm home early from work. I'm a little sore. Not sure if it was from the test or the scope at the doc's after - but am leaning towards the scope.
On the plus side, yep - it's just this MS causing my issues. Leisons in the right location and everything else appears to be physically fine. He prescribed me flomax and is more than willing to fight my insurance company if they give me any issues with it. ~~~~ Barb, Glad to hear about the results. :) TK, the test pretty much went the way people were describing on your other thread. I had a good tech who put me at ease and it helped a lot! Relaxing really does help, and so did the info from your thread. Thanks so much for starting that one. If bladder is not used to being empty anymore, there are some mild cramps at the end of the test that only last for a little while. Frank, I really hope those injections help you. I've never heard of those either. |
fin thanks
I know what you are going through have not returned because i am tired of the process and yes the scope can do that and or camera my bladder has reduced it size by a third, also due to the MS, so when i do the pee pee dance i do it 33 percent sooner than normal::::Grins:::::::: generally when a doc stands up to the ins comps they dont give ya too much trouble, good luck on that and hope it works out well |
Glad to hear everyones testing went well! Well except for you Frank, but maybe the injections will cause Chucky to die a quick death! Sandy I got your PM I tried calling u earlier not sure which line I called though!
Court today- I had been warned this judge is a former marine, very short and gets right to the point, but has also yelled at people and been an overall jerk....Thank you Jesus I musta caught him on a good day. He seemed very nice and almost made me fall out of my chair when the first thing he said was, your case was supposed to be dismissed but since I have the info and you are here I'm hearing your case anyway...appparently when I filed for an extension (and it was granted by the way) the office never sent the extension to the judge...I assured him I had in fact done this and he said he didn't care one way or the other he wasn't holding it against me and that if he were the one granting extensions he would have said I definitely qualified! My attorney presented all of our evidence and my changes in status since I filed paperwork, the judge said ok great thanks Mrs. Malouf and good luck to you! Now the waiting........why couldn't he have just isssued a bench judgement! We also asked to amend my onset of disability to Feb 2006 and he granted that ammendment on the spot. My attorney said this judge will often play lets make a deal saying ok I will back pay you back to such and such date but thats it....but he never even mentioned it. My attorney said he is hoping that being a military spouse would have a good results since the guy is a former marine...and he said judges tended to be nicer and give better rulings to nurses so now it some more hurry up and wait...so you all still have to keep sending up prayers and keeping those appendages crossed! Oh and when I got home I had 10 yes I said 10 kids over here all afternoon after we got finished with testing. |
Renee, glad to hear it seems like you caught the judge on a good day. That's great! fingers are still crossed for ya!
And I can't believe you had 10 kids at your house. Wow! |
Frank - I hope the injections work for you. Let us know how it goes.
Barb - Congratulations!!! That is fantastic news. You must be ecstatic. Fin - Thanks for the info. I'm not too concerned, I just never thought of it being a horrible test. I thought of it as a simple, like getting a catheter placed. Glad you had it done and all went well. Let me know how the meds work. Renee - I will keep everything crossed for you. I hope it all works out in your favor. 10 kids in the house, heck, that was just me and my brothers and sisters on a regular basis. LOL. I have 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Sandy? How was Jim's appointment today? I hope all went well. |
I was all eager for the injection till i started looking at the name of it and thinking hmmmm thats awful close to the word eye, so as we are registering I asked is the injection through the eye? In which case you could use a battle axe and lop my head off sooner then inject near my eye no way that will happen while i am on this side of consciousness, she assured me it was not so we continued , glad everyones day went fairly well
|
Well as nothing normal ever happens in this house, we were in the ER all night my poor hubby has tons of gallstones his labs are all out of whack AND it looks like his appendix is inflamed! Off to the surgeon right now so fill yall in later!
|

Well, it's official, I am under attack!!!:mad: UGH! Spinal lesion. However, since I am able to sit up more and move a bit and am doing a little better, we opted not to do the steroids and increased my Neurontin (which I already did). Should I get worse then IVSM. Crossing my fingers that I am all better by tomorrow.:D Sandy - how did it go yesterday? |
Hi all :) Home from work and thinking I did not get enough sleep last night, lol. Tired and wobbly. lol, that's all the news fit to print from my end. :D

Had another reaction today during my ty infusion so the neuro said no more ty. This one was pretty bad (posted about it on tysabri thread). I am feeling both sad, angry, and really tired.
|
Oh, Barb. I am so sorry to hear that. You must be so disappointed.
Hug Song Sung to The Farmer In The Dell I made this hug for you To cheer you when you're blue Heigh-ho, the derry-oh I made this hug for you I found that this morning and thought I'd start sharing it. |

I felt like that when I had to quit the Betaseron. (liver enzymes went whack-a-doodle) you gave it your best shot, but your body said "No!" so, what are you considering next? |
Renee - How's hubby? Is all OK?
Frank - How you doing today? Are you getting some relief with the 'roids? My family doesn't hate me when I'm on them. I have the opposite effect - they make me extra sleepy and lethargic. Barb - How are you doing today? Are you feeling somewhat better? Vonn - Happy Birthday!!! (I did post that on your Birthday thread but didn't know if you would see it or not) Nothing to update here. Just working through this flare and trying to relieve the "Hug." I hope everyone has a great day! |

Feeling a bit like I have been run over by a truck today. Had my apointment with my neuro and he is sending me to the ms center at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis for a consultation (once the insurance approves it). It will be a long drive, but I feel good about that decision. I probably will have to wait for several weeks for my appointment. He admitted he does not know what to do with me. I have been told that by other men in my life in the past:D
Frank, In one year since my dignosis, I have failed at betaseron (allergic), copaxone (too many severe IPIR's) and now tysabri. So I guess I am a big failure. Can you tell I am feeling slightly sorry for myself? Ate lunch out and had a beef manhattan and mashed potatoes. Guess I feel the need for comfort food. Have spent the rest of the day on the couch. Did anyone see Oprah? I meant to watch it. It was about the pregnant "man." I only saw the last 5 minutes. |
Barb, hun, sorry you're feelng so run down. Hope the consult goes well and is worth the drive.
I do have a shout out for TK and Renee. A great big Thank You and a round of happy hugs for you two. You've both been causing that itch for me to do some art again. I've been feeling "blah" lately, so I came home from work and painted an abstract of how the MS was making me feel. Good grief, I feel so much better and it's cheaper than seeing a shrink! LOL :D :grouphug: |
Barb - I am so, so sorry about all that you are going through. Hang in there. If there is anything we can do to help you along the way just let us know. Sending you big cyber:hug:'s.
Fin - Painting has been so good for me emotionally as well as it is relaxing and fun. Glad you got the painting bug. Now, when are we going to see this MS work of art? |
Quick update...first So sorry to hear that Barb!
Second...Happy bd Vonn Third exhausted going to bed...hubby has pancreatitis and is in hospital until his enzymes are under control then gallbladder and possible appendectomy for him next week........(sigh) Thanks for all of the well wishes! Love you all! |
ok hopefully i will recall all this
fin take a picture of the art I would love to see it renee, I am sorry hubby is going through this hopefully in a weeks time this will all be behind you both, prayers and thoughts are with you both howdy TK any better today the roids seem to be calming down the headaches here which is a step in the right direction far as i am concerned last and by no means least actually i saved the best for last " smile it does look good on you" Barb, so many have helped me on here and made my heart swell which words of hope, encouragement and helpful stories they tell to most of you I am still new and and some of you i have come to know I find its through helping others that allows friendships to grow I know you are down and you feel bad about the problems of today just look at the kind friends and kinds words they have to say hopefully it will find that spot in your heart and help your smile shine remember you have our shoulders to cry on to help you feel fine peace;) |
Oh Renee, so sorry to hear about all the problems your hubby is having. You all are in my prayers.
|
thank you all for the birthday wishes ...
just alot going on right now ... will catchup with you soon .... quick update - I sent in my application for the vocational rehab counselor position ... and hopefully will relocate ... first I have to get an interview! |
Hey all. Real quick update. I have been having router issues and no internet. I am currently on as a fluke somehow...lol All is OK and Jim's appointment went well. He gained a little weight but nothing too serious. Sorry I haven't been able to update.
I spoke with Renee last night and she's exhausted but hanging in there. I do know he'll be having gallbladder surgery most likely later next week if all goes well. She'll probably be on later to update more about that. Hugs to everyone! |
muchas gracias, San, for the update on NaeNae!
:grouphug: oh, and glad Jim's thingie went well! |
Vonn, hope the vocational stuff works out
Sandy, thanks for the update. Glad to hear Jim's appointment went well. ~~~~ Good morning all :) I'm sitting here with my last cup of coffee for the day getting ready to head out to work. The other girl is out, so going in a little early. We have an office inspection (which is a good thing) next week, so trying to get things organized for that. It is rare that an agency gets it within it's second year, so we're not sure what to expect. If we pass, we'll get recognition. As to the painting pic, hubby has hidden the cameras :D so I asked him to take a pic of it. lol. Hopefully sometime this weekend. |
Renee - I'm so sorry, sweetie. You poor thing. I do pray that it will stop "pouring" on you. I hope hubby starts feeling better soon.
Frank - Glad the headaches are settling down. What a relief!:) Vonn - Wishing you luck on the possible new job. That is awesome! Sandy - What are you feeding that man? LOL. Glad the appointment went well. Fin - I'll be looking for your post w/pictures. Good luck with the inspection. ~~~~ Yipeeee! I can sit up longer than 15 minutes. I am on the mend. There is light at the end of this tunnel, I can see it. Still having other issues but those are more manageable than the grip that was out of control. I should be back up and running within a few days and back to normal in a few weeks. Maybe I'll get a little painting in depending on my workload as it is my busy time of the month. Hope you all have a great day! |
tk -- Glad you are seeing some improvement. You have such a great attitude. I could use a little of that here if you have any to share.:winky:
frank -- I hope your headaches continue to diminish. Sandy -- glad to hear that your hubby's appointment went well. vonn -- Good Luck! Renne-- I have been thinking about you. I am so sorry that you have had so much to go through. I hope your husband has a successful surgery and a quick recovery. My update -- have been ordering books for my courses next fall. They are so expensive. We have a textbook rental system here so the students do not have to buy their books. The faculty all hate it because it puts strict limits on how often we can order new books and how much money we can spend. But the students and parents love it ,and I do understand why. I found a new textbook for my gender and law class that looks great and is only 55.00 (that is a bargain; believe me) so I am really excited. And it is only 650 pages long. Won't the students love it?:D |
