has anyone else seen this in the main forum section every few days i see it and say thats not fair just cause someones left handed, ive been tempted to post on it just so i will stop seeing it and repeating myself of hey thats not fair...yeah im bored out of my skull, but have been meaning to ask about this, i cant get over how i can keep forgetting it doesn't say what it looks like it says.

which brings me to a question of memory I still have a good memory of days gone by, but recent things ,WTH I always had a great memory now i am lucky if I remember 4 days ago what was said or what someone told me or what i did, does anyone else have issues like this or it me and thats were my lesions are ???

FinLady 08-17-2008 10:00 AM

Lazy day here. Just getting some laundry done since hubby will need clothes for his business trip. ;)

LOL, attacked the art store with vigor yesterday. Since I knew he was going to be gone, I wanted something to keep me busy. LOL, also know I'm going to be doing a lot of cleaning while he's out of the way. Dunno why it always seems to work out that way. :D

Feeling a little bit better today. Had a weird dream involving my neuro giving me balfalcon (sp?) last night. Spasms getting the best of me and invading my dreams perhaps?

~~~~~
Kay, LOL. had to laugh at the story about the drake. Demanding one wasn't he?
Kelly, Hope you have a relaxing day today. LOL, I know about the bird thing. My car is the one that is parked closest to the trees and such in my yard. Seems to have a bullseye painted on it because of that :D
Frank, sorry to hear you're sore today. Hope things get better. :hug:
LOL, Frank, we posted at the same time.
Yep, have memory issues here too. We have a dry erase white board on our fridge for important numbers and events. We joke that if it isn't on there, it doesn't exist :D
Good morning everyone. Yesterday was a great day for Jim and he again said this morning how much he enjoyed it. Thanks again to everyone who made it special for him.
I have some laundry to do today and maybe look at the checkbook. I may go dabble in some online art stores to see the cost of replenishing my art supplies.
Have a great weekend and please stay cool. I already have my air on. It's going to be a hot one.
:hug:
weegot5kiz 08-17-2008 10:22 AM
frank plays a lot in game forum,
way too much but it helps
tryin to keep me wits sharp, and when i am worried it helps occupy my mind, playing games
weegot5kiz 08-17-2008 10:24 AM
yeah i turned mine on too its a bit humid too sure was a nice ten days though
CayoKay 08-17-2008 10:26 AM
but me, Von, I'm FABULOUS, didja notice?
:D
the drake's all plucked, gutted, dressed, and in the fridge... whew!
lotta feathers...
Kitty, I've got 6 drakes, and all 22 mamas are busy on nests, or with baby hatchlings, so the drakes get kinda, er, um, lonely I guess? with no companionship to ease the long jungle days... loafing by the pond, strutting around, and foraging for food...
:D
SandyC 08-17-2008 10:27 AM
Yeah, maybe we'll see the difference in our electric bills, if only for half a month. lol
weegot5kiz 08-17-2008 10:29 AM
yeah i did noticed that how many eggs did that cost ya? hmmmm lol meant to ask you how you pulled that off
I know....right? There are a bunch of recipes in that thread I want to try.
I just took out some porkchops from the freezer and we'll cook them on the grill this evening. I had some fresh ears of corn and found a wonderful recipe for grilled corn on the cob. It's not easy to prepare, though, as you have to peel the leaves around the corn back, strip out the silk, then pull the leaves back around the corn. Took me quite a while to do that and I still didn't get all the silk out. But you just spread it with butter before you pull the leaves back up and then wrap it in foil and put it down in the hot coals while the meat is cooking. Sooooo good......I add salt and pepper, too, before wrapping it up.
SandyC 08-17-2008 10:33 AM
Kelly, that sound so good! I usually just throw the cobs on the bbq husks and all. I think I may try that recipe next time I stop at the farmers market. Yum!
yeah i soak the ears for a few minutes in water then throw them on. I like that too Kelly, going to try that maybe tonight go to the farm stand and get some fresh sweet corn
balancing carefully in the mud, in my flipflops, I leaned over, and GRABBED him by the ends of his wings, with both hands, and LIFTED his mangy carcass off my lovely duck.
lol, do y'all think I anthropomorphize too much here?
I get ALL offended when the males assault the females... especially when the wimmin-ducks can't fly away, because they've got eggs or babies.
lol, feminism doesn't fit very well on a farm, I've noticed...
:p
anyway, to answer your question Frank, we didn't lose ANY eggs, I nipped the crime in the bud... before any damage could be done.
:cool:
tkrik 08-17-2008 10:41 AM
Good morning all!
I slept in today - until 8:30!!!:eek: I very rarely do that. However, I was up until 11 last night watching online documentaries. We don't have cable and there isn't much on regular tv that I want to watch so I have been watching them online.
I hope you all have a good day.:hug:
SandyC 08-17-2008 10:44 AM
Trish, I love watching the documentaries about human and animal evolution. Those shows fascinate me big time! I love watching how man and animals evolved over time.
tkrik 08-17-2008 10:59 AM
Last night I watched part 1 of the Children of Abraham, a documentary about the Moari and (see Frank - memory issue here, what the heck are those things called lol) some sort of face things and how they moved them, and part of a documentary on The Secret.
A few nights ago, I watched something about the Mayans, temples in India, some caves that . . .dang MS, I'm digging through my brain and can't remember. It was really good though. lol
weegot5kiz 08-17-2008 11:47 AM
i watch history channels and learning channels all the time i love shows like that
where are you finding these on line at?
hello Trish how is DD1 doing today any better, how are you holding up:hug:
tkrik 08-17-2008 11:52 AM
There are a bunch of online documentaries. Just google "online documentaries" and a whole bunch of sites will come up. You can also google "online documentaries on . . ." and search for things that interest you. I will PM you a link to some of them.
DD16 is doing a little better today. I don't really know if this is good news or bad news but . . .Her having this cold is important to a "diagnosis" for her. If in fact she had fluid build up in her inner ear or a virus, this cold would have irritated that and caused her to get the vertigo again. However, that has not happened. Therefore, I am guessing, the vertigo was not caused by fluid pressing on her vestibular nerve as they thought.
Bad news, I have a sore throat today.:mad::( Nasal lavages and salt water rinses are on my agenda today. I refuse to get sick.
tkrik 08-17-2008 11:53 AM
BTW, Frank, you don't get commercials when you watch them online. YEAH!!!
Idealist 08-17-2008 12:45 PM
I haven't been too bad physically this weekend. Just a little sore from doing something I shouldn't have done. But my head and my heart are both anxious, since my 19 year old son has his trial coming up on tuesday. None of us know what to expect. He was arrested on two felony charges, but they've suggested that they might lower them to misdemeanors if restitution were made, and he didn't get into any more trouble for three years. But even then he'll probably spend a month or two in jail, and I'm going to be going bonkers the whole time he's there, of course.
Debbie D 08-17-2008 01:55 PM
Wow, you all are busy beavers this Sunday!! Watched CNN for a few minutes, and the weather reporter said that the storm headed for Fla. is quite disorganized, so I hope it stays that way for all our friends down there.
Why, when the momma hens are busy doing their jobs, do the boys have to make trouble? That drake learned the consequences though, didn't he??;)
I'm inside now after walking my son's and my goldens in the warm sunshine...what a great August we've had in the Chicago area...except for that bad storm that went through a couple weeks ago (luckily we were in the northwoods at the time). The heat has had it's impact on the bod, though.
I've been searching online at different online schools that offer Medical Transcription courses...thinking it would be a good fit for me. But a part of me wants to pull the first draft of a novel I wrote out of the drawer and try again...the characters keep coming into my head, so I might have to give it another go. The first draft was AWFUL. I also have articles in my head...so hard to get them down on "paper". I need to use a tape recorder so I can capture thoughts before they disappear into thin air.
Hope everyone enjoys the rest of Sunday...hmmm, corn on the grill sounds delicious!! Thanks for the idea!
Carolina 08-17-2008 02:18 PM
i don't usually post as to the "insight" of my life. I mean, what is there? Go to work, go to grocery store, come home, get dinner, clean, go to bed.......next day, go to work, come home, get dinner, do laundry, go to bed.....you get the idea, monday - friday. Who wants to read this?
well, tonight, i get to go to a baseball game!! Yeah! i love going to baseball games. just love the whole atmosphere. love hearing the crack of the bat, the ball hitting the glove...plus gives me an excuse to eat bad food.... :D and better yet, a perfect excuse not to cook!!!! Yea!!!!!!
Long ago, back in the days of yore, we would be in Michigan at this time of year for the NASCAR race. But, I fear those days are forever gone. Sure do miss the power and sound of those cars.......
Oh well, I'll settle for the baseball game. At least it's not sitting at home.
have a good day all and i apologise for any interruption to this thread.
i do love you all. :hug:
weegot5kiz 08-17-2008 02:22 PM
Rich prayers and thoughts going out to you and son for a reasonable outcome, hang in there.
well do both deb, I know I have been delaying on proofing all my poems and trying to get my book done too.....
good news oldest son graced me with his presence today we pulled out the freezer, and found what was wrong, the kids didn't shut the garage door and rocky raccoon, went back to his room only to find Gideons bible, yeppers bit through a wire got a frontal lobotomy at same time I rewired the freezer cleaned it out big time, it is drying out right now then i will turn it back on tomorrow, we lost a few hundred bucks in food but dont have to replace freezer so thats good news in a way
How fun!! I remember going to the Braves games years ago - it was so much fun. There's something about the food at those places - I know it's bad for me yet I really enjoy eating it!
It's been a while since I've been to a game - probably two years at least.
I hope ya'll have a great time. Don't forget to take a glove so you can catch any foul balls or homers!
FinLady 08-17-2008 03:10 PM
B-ball game sounds like fun carol, hope you have a good time :)
Sigh. Vented a little about the MRI report I received on another thread. Doc vs. report, what can one do?
Other than that little bit of a shock, still a nice quiet day here. LOL, I also just remembered I have laundry waiting to be dried. :)
Hoping everyone is having a good day. :grouphug:
NaeNae 08-17-2008 03:19 PM
Oh God Carolina now I am jealous cold beer, a hotdog and a ball game does it get any better????? I took the kids fishing today since my son starts school tomorrow he caught 3 fish so he was happy! Olivia fished too she just never stopped reeling long enough for the worm to get too wet! LOL I came home with a sunburn blistering headache and spasms in my neck from the heat but hey they had fun while I sat and roasted so it was worth it I guess! Olivia turns the big 3 years old tomorrow!!!
weegot5kiz 08-17-2008 03:36 PM
I read that Jen I too would be a bit ticked off, I had similar thing happen to me a few years back I have a heart issue, then one day the nurse calls or who ever called and said congrats on your stress test we see no problem with your heart, I was like huh i haven't had a stress test in 4 months. she says I just updated your file, again huh? turns out there is a guy with same name same bday and diff year and they literally erased all the info by over writing my file with the other guys info, needless to say i didn't go back to them, they could not for their lives give a me a straight answer, on what was what with my file, eventually they were able to extract my file from a back up, which i took to a new cardiologist
CayoKay 08-17-2008 04:31 PM
argh, Frank! I know what you mean !!
Long's Drugs gave me somebody else's Rx.
the lady had the exact same NAME as me, and the same med, but in a different dosage.
when one is on Medicaid, they give you whatever's cheapest (generic) and so, the meds DO sometimes look DIFFERENT... (different size, different color)
so, I wasn't all that surprised when the pills were larger...
and if you're low-vision, you might not NOTICE that the receipt has your address suddenly on the OTHER side of town !! (in fine print)
but I DID notice that the address-field-info looked LONGER than usual (we half-blind bats DO notice differences, lol!)
the "extra length" was an apartment number, and I lived in a house...
if I'd actually TAKEN that wrong-dosage med, I'd've been LOOPY as a merry-go-round... but... I brought the bottle and tag to my DD-then-17, and she clued me in, luckily, BEFORE I took any.
so, this SAME-NAME-GAME problem almost got me too... but your brush with it sounds a LOT worse than mine, so you have my sympathies, and I'm GLAD they had a backup for the records.
and YEAH, I never filled my Rx'x at Long's Drugs again, I was so peeved !!
weegot5kiz 08-17-2008 04:36 PM
well hopefully that is what happened Fin for you and get the right info in the morn, interesting Kay because lately the RX has been asking for our address when we go pick up so it might be a bit more common with RX meds then we know
SandyC 08-17-2008 04:54 PM
Oh man, I just got inside from tearing down my lilac tree. I was trimming it and a huge amount of black ants came rolling out of the branch, inside! :yikes:
My contractor came over and took a branch and down it came, no saw needed. It's a wonder the tree didn't come down in that storm. I still have to dig out the root but will tackle that tomorrow. Below the rock border there was larva and they were moving! What???
Happy early b-day Olivia!!!!!
FinLady 08-17-2008 05:43 PM
Got the call for the neuro at the top of my "to do" list for tomorrow. Hope I manage to get the assistant I like. Thanks guys. :grouphug:
Sandy, Ugh! the poor lilac bush. Glad it didn't come down during the storm.
weegot5kiz 08-17-2008 07:36 PM
sorry about the Lilac Sandy, afraid to ask was it white or purple, as a mailman it was great when the white lilacs bloomed the aroma from those are really nice. now you also know what MS bugs is like,
hope yall had a great weekend
Kelly and all those down florida way be careful, I mean weather men tend to be wrong so keep a good eye to the sky
peace
SandyC 08-17-2008 07:56 PM
Frank, it was a purple but I have two others in the backyard that are fine. I also went ahead and trimmed up the bushes near it because once the lilac came down the rest looked bad. It's a down hill spiral I tell you. I just got in from cleaning up the mess and taking it over to the neighbors burn pile, then took a shower. I felt like I had ants, ear wigs, spiders, crickets and tics all over me! And yes, I saw all of those. lol That dern tree was over 9 foot tall!
I am waiting for my contractor/neighbor to bring me the easel. I set aside my jig saw, circular saw, table saw and nailer to give to him in exchange. He doesn't know it yet. See, his daughter left the business to side with her bf and took all of Roger's tools saying they were hers. It is all so sad so I am going to help replenish some of them. It's hard because she lives down the street from me and him behind me. It's a shame what can tear a family up isn't it? Everytime he's over at my house she or her bf come and ask me why. It's like being caught in the middle but so far I am staying neutral by the grace of God. ;)
