Oh Carolina don't feel bad...I too have gone from svelte to goodyear in a couple of years! I hate it too, infact was going to have a gastric bypass untill hubby came along and took my insurance away LOL.
Kay-glue some rooster feathers to the gals! Barb-Welcome back! I got some much needed sleep last night was going to call Sandy but fell asleep so I will call her today. Dayton did ok in school he did however skip one class and attended one of next semesters classes! Oh well sure he wasn't the only one! Then I had to run to town at 7 PM to go buy the child some new gym shoes that had never been worn outside because they got a new gym GRRR got home at 9. Olivia got a big stuffed elephant yesterday and thats all as we celebrated her birthday 2 weeks ago. She was happy to see brother get off the bus, she was worried he wasn't coming back! Going to rain here next 3 days this has been the wettest Aug I remember! |
Good morning everyone. Wh prayers are coming.:(
Renee....this august has been horrible up north....most of the summer actually. Its so hard with children when it rains everyday. We dont start school for another two weeks...and Im almost completely out of things to do that dont involve tv or the computer:eek: Im glad Dayton had a somewhat better day.....everyday will get better. youve all been through so many changes I think you and the kids are doing great!:hug::hug: |
buenos dias, mi amigas y mi amigos!
(good morning my friends!) today I feel better (bellyache mostly gone, headache faded, leg spazes quiescent) got all the morning greenery prepped for distribution, and sneaked onto hubby's computer (mine's still dead) while he's out tending the goats, pig, and chickens. so, off I go to feed the rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks, geese, and turkeys. but before I go, I have *got* to change my "mood" (since I'm no longer SICK) :D:cool::D hope y'all have a good day, and by the time I'm back, maybe hubby will have my craptop fixed, and LINUX installed? wish me luck! :):) |
hi all .. I'm off to see the doctor for the SSDI ... I wrote down 25 sx's ... wah! I didn't realize I had THAT many - gotta go ... see yous later!
have a great day! prayers for you Weave and everyone else, too! |
weave prayers and thoughts from Deb and I, hangin there:hug:
its slow motion day here too well gonna go try do some shopping |
Good luck today at the doctor, Vonn!! I hope everything goes well for you. Let us know the outcome once you get home...I'm praying for you!
|
Weave, I am so sorry your heart is broken. If there is anything we can do please don't hesitate to ask. We're here for you and understand the need to take a break. Just know when you need to just talk, pm or public, we'll be here waiting.
I got some great advice on the plant and thank everyone! I think I am going to go to the nursery and buy 2 Rose of Sharon's. One to replace the lilac and one for next to my deck. Cheryl told me about the new blue satin color and it is absolutely beautiful! Frank thanks for that website too! Now I can hide myself again and not feel so neked! lol If Jim ever wakes up maybe well take a ride to the nursery. He's sluggish this morning. Have a good day everyone and again Weave, please know we're praying for you. Vonn, good luck today!!!!!!!!!!! |
Weave and Vonn, many prayers being said for you.
Renee - I hope Dayton has a better day today. Have you heard about any of the jobs you applied for? (If you posted about it, I'm sorry I missed it). Kay - Como esta mi Belizian amiga? Qué va usted a hacer hoy? lol Ok, that all the Spanish I know. j/k I do know some swear words. lol Frank - Slow moving day here as well. Muscles just won't do what I want them to do - move. lol Kelly - I am not sure about the tapering off of Neurontin. It has been such a godsend to me that I won't even attempt it. I did put on weight, 30 lbs, in a couple of months - but that was mostly due to the Paxil that they had me on. Once I got off the Paxil, I dropped 20 lbs in a little over a month; 10 of it within a week of getting off of Paxil. Copaxone can also make you put on weight. It is a rare side effect. Additionally, I am not as active as I used to be since I got off the highway and on to the 35 mph side roads. Once the weather cools a bit, I will be walking in the a.m.'s again. (Hopefully in the next few weeks). I won't swim at our pool here. I have an issue with it as it is continually being closed and more often than not when it's closed, it has this lime green color, kind of like transmission fluid. NO swimming in there for me. lol Hi Everyone else!!! I hope you all have a good day. Today, I will be taking a stress break day. All the things that have been stressing me out lately will be put aside for the day. I won't allow myself to think of any of them. I am going to take my nice warm Epsom salt bath in a bit. I have a terrible habit of tensing up my muscles when I am stressed add in MS spasticity and it is not comfortable. This morning I woke up so sore, I decided enough was enough. I am going to just "be" today (you know, be a free spirit today, pray, . Tomorrow, I will deal with the state insurance programs, the car needing the brakes looked at, the laundry, the cleaning, etc., etc. (you get the point). The lunch with Aarcyn was a perfect reminder of how much we need a break from our regular routines and daily stresses. ;) |
Vonn, wishing you luck
Weave, you've got my prayers  Carolina, agree with you. Late summer/early fall is still a good time to plant. Sandy, on a side note, fall maybe coming early this year. Even though it's kinda hot, I can smell it in the air. I could be wrong, but used to be good at this stuff. ;) Renee, Glad you got a good night's sleep last night. Hoping the second day goes smoother for Dayton Kay, Glad you're feeling better and had a chance to sneak onto hubby's laptop. :) Kelly, LOL - know exactly what you mean. I'm still amazed at how many dishes and clothes can pile up from just two people. ~~~~~~ Good morning all :) Still didn't sleep well last night, sigh. Oh well, keep slugging on - LOL Had a bittersweet reminder of my mom today. She passed away in '98 from complications with MS. My dad forwarded me an email from her old college roomate. She said I definitely got my painting ability from my mom and that one of my paintings reminded her of one my mom did. I just started crying. Smiling, but crying. Despite everything, I was really close to my mom. LOL, my quote at the bottom of my posts is one of her favorite sayings. Ah well, need to get to the chores that need done here soon. :grouphug: Hoping you guys have a good day. |
Trish, hope the epsom salt bath helps ya out. I know I have to do that sometimes when the spacisity (sp?) gets too bad for me. Enjoy your break from stress.
|
Jenn, I know what you mean! I smelled fall last week for sure. I hope your right!!!
That's so sweet about your mom. I am glad it was happy tears. Trish, good idea. You've been through the wringer the past couple of months. Take a "me" "be" day, you deserve it. |

ran into a "possible MS symptom checklist" once, and realized that at one point or another during the last twenty years, I've had almost ALL of 'em !! The list of signs and symptoms mentioned in various sources for Multiple Sclerosis includes the 53 symptoms listed below: http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/m/mult...m#symptom_list |
Seeing yall share your artwork all the time I guess i should share mine, although my artwork is done with a quill not a brush hope you all enjoy, i finally wrote something for first time in a couple months or so, there has been no creative flow coming forth so hopefully things will change
""""""Rock n Roll""""""""""""" rock around the clock set us on fire opening a whole new youths desire rock and roll was a new song as we were told it did not belong it was an escape, a safe haven then there was roll over Beethoven lets not forget good golly miss molly or the night he left us, buddy holly there was chubby and the twist you just had to wiggle it around like this then there came four lads from across the sea there music was to set so many rock and roll hearts free the flower was its power in 67 of that decade make love not war was a cry that by 69 had begun to fade rock and roll has come to define many of us in each generation love, rebels, metal, disco, psychedelic, punk remember that sensation lets not forget I want to rock and roll all night yes the music moves me yes rock and roll is alright |
Frank, really cool!!!!
Thanks for sharing :) |
Glad you went ahead and posted this Frank. I love it!
|
hello hello .. I'm BAAAACK!
wah .. got down there - and I wasn't 'on their list' .. but, the doctor saw me anyways (and asked for my 3 pgs of sx, too) ... anyways ... SS people didn't have all the paperwork to them ... he was quite concerned with all that was going on ... and used his little rubber hammer on me! boy, did my legs twinge, not kick, twinge .. sorta weird .. and we talked about the anxiety and depression issues ... and the stress! thanks for your thoughts and prayers this morning ...now it's back in the hands of SSDI ... loved the poem/song, Frank!! OH, before I went in to see the doctor .. I added about 5 more sx's ... wah! Jenn, I get "those" feelings too about my mom ... a 'stress-break' day for you, Tricia, is in the works... enjoy!! |

¿Y cómo está usted? Voy hoy a tender a mis animales. today I have vowed to focus only on the positive (been having nightmares and daymares) and rest a lot. I know what you mean, Trish, I hold my tension in my neck and jaw when I am upset. and yeah, added to MS spasticity, that's just a real bundle of joy! it's just now finally HITTING me about the murder of the Hills, and I woke at 3 am, suddenly wanting to lock all the doors and windows... not good for one's state of mind or relaxation. we may be living off my SSDI (yeah, both of us, on *my* check!) but compared to the average Belizean, we are "wealthy" so, I tried to close the front door, but couldn't, as hubby had hooked the brooder box heat lamp for the new baby chickies to the door handle, lol! so, I settled for pulling in the latchstrings on the screen doors. yeah, I'm silly at 3 am, I confess... so, today my plan is to rake up the hay under the guinea and bunny cages, and put two more duck moms in protective custody (the nursery), and then NAP NAP NAP the rest of the day away. :D |
I don't know where to start...
Weave -- Hang in there and vent away if you feel like it. We will all be thinking of you. Frank, I enjoyed your poem. Jenn, My mother drives me crazy, but I know what you mean. I am glad you had some happy tears. I did not know that your mother had MS. TK and Kay -- Hope you are able to to get rid of some of that stress and muscle pain. I am glad that you enjoyed your lunch yesterday Tricia. I hope that I can someday meet some of my board buddies. Maybe we need another Illinois get together. Vonn, Hope you are doing ok and that everything works out with SSDI. 30 symptoms -- Hi Sandy, Renee, and anyone else that I am missing. I guess Fall is in the air because town is getting crowded with students, house parties are taking place are over town (lots of beer, loud music, and beanbag games), and classes start on Monday. I went in and cleaned my office this morning and then had a doctor's appt. I came away with "only"3 new prescriptions. I have been dealing with dizziness for a few weeks and other more minor problems. I think this trip did me in. Too much driving, walking, and sitting at slot machines (lol). My plan is to relax until next Monday. |
You know I was worried about the drive, especially the night you left we had a tornado touch down a couple towns over power outages constant lighting and thunder for a few hours it was an intense storm, i was worried if you had gotten ahead of it or were following it. sorry you feel blah, but am glad you had a good time, so its worth it what would be a drag hurt like this and not had fun that would bite:hug: I hope you get to feeling better real soon
|
Jim just said he might join!!!!! Don't get too excited just yet but he's thinking about it! He asked do we just talk about ms and I told him no, not at all, we talk about crazy stuff too! lol
|
eating pilots, tp up or down, paper cuts, art, music, jokes and occasionally the HUH :Bang-Head:
that will be cool, and we have the farm report from belize |
Barb, hope you feel better soon. Traveling can take a lot out of the bod.
Actually, I have MS and other immune diseases coming at me from both sides. My grandmother (dad's mom) also had MS. I've seen both the worst and best case scenarios with those two, but know that my path is going different than theirs so far. Definitely a personalized condition, LOL My poor brother got the psoriasis, a rare version of it too. But his current meds are helping him a lot, sounds like his old self these days. :) I went to a seminar with one of the neuros from the MS center as the speaker. When he found out about my family, he gave me the "interesting, I want you as a lab rat" look. It was kinda creepy, but glad he stayed his distance. Sandy, that would be too cool if Jim joined up. Kay, LOL - I only understood the first two sentences. Man, my spanish is rusty :D Vonn, Sorry to hear about the confusion. hoping that this gets you closer to what you need though. ~~~~ LOL, no chores done yet. got sidetracked thinking about my mom and had to go paint something. Hobbies are such a release sometimes! Yep, definitely keeps me sane. :Crazy 2: Of course, resting up now to tackle those oh so fun chores. :) |
my latin has long since left me, something about good doing good thanks and tending to the wittle critters, and i forgot how are you doing if i am correct

dont feel bad Renee, Deb writes everything down b4 she post, and she doesnt have MS
|
Wow...Jim online....you go!! :D
Yesterday the Olhipie wanted to go and see his folks...road trip, round trip almost four hours. It really takes it out of both of us. When we got in the car to leave he asked me how far I would let him drive. I told him that I didn't want to have this conversation. However, I did tell him that he wasn't going to drive. He thinks that nothing is wrong and that he should be able to drive. He hasn't drove for about four years. His condition is so much worse since then when he had to give up his licence but he can't see it. Its hard to talk to him about it and to point out what he can't do. I hate it!! Oh, and lets see...what are we doing today...hmmm going to get a tail light fixed on the van. A trip to the dry cleaners and last but not least...the book store, our favorite place to spend money. We devour books...oh and I forgot, we usually stop at Charlies...a drive through ice cream shop...sugar cone, pralines and caramel for Olhipie and I'll just have a chocolate-vanilla swirl soft cone...come on Olhipie we need to go choppin!! |
Sorry Tam about Craig, i imagine that is what Deb goes through here sometimes with my stubborn mindset. I glad he has someone like you to look out for him:hug:
|
think i got this sonic thing figured out, I will take rt 56 to kirk and ask her to close her eyes cause it looks like its about a block north of 56 and then pull into a stall and let the speaker do its work pretty sure when she hears welcome to sonics may i help you she will wet herself lol yes, now i cant wait for thurs thank you Sandy I am so glad you posted that I was at a little bit of a lost on what to do
|
Renee, sorry to hear no job yet
Sandy, What a nice bush to get. Hope you find one and it looks great. :) Tam, bookstore and ice cream. Sounds like heaven to me. Hope you have a good time. :) |
Wow! I don't think I've ever seen a thread grow this fast before. I've tried to read it, but it grows too fast to keep up! It's kind of like a group of women at a candle party. :p Just kiddin'. But y'all sure seem to be having a lot of fun! :D
|
