you're not even CLOSE to being a downer, my dear!

first, we CARE, about how you're doing, and how your symptoms are affecting you.

second, that means EVEN when it's gnarly, and you need to complain a bit.

third (the kicker!) WE reserve the right to equal-opportunity whining!

:D

I've got a little mantra that helps me... "This too shall pass", which I got from my mom.

hang in there honey, and remember not to work too much, and take good care of yourself!

Kay, No Coffee. :eek: Sorry to hear that.

Can't wait to hear how many babies come from that nest. :)

GiGi, glad to hear the spasms are better today. Also glad to hear the speech went ok. :)

TK, so far so good. The fog has lifted for now, LOL.

backup plan: hot herbal tea with honey, and a slice of ginger.

raspberry mint at the moment, with fresh honey from the Succotz hives down the road.

the ginger was dug up yesterday from my land:

thanks Kayo...and the pics always make me smile such great pics you always have....
I went to work for a managers meeting, I had some stuff to say....I was saying it and stumbling on my words...sometimes embarrasing..as they dont have a clue not all of them anyhow....and I dont have a dx to know what to say anyhow.....just frustrating at times...to feel so cogfogged out..!!

Feeling last few days, Like I am here but not here, that I am just living life but not living it...just here....as time goes by without me like...hard to explain....

My hands are numb/tingling, my feet are burning, my face is numb and my head is LOST!! Trying to enjoy my day off, other than the meeting, and just only half here for the little ones....

I feel like noone understands ME, well hubby actually does a great job supporting me, and he actually can tell when I am feeling out of it...and comforts me....but otherwise...just feel lost....without my other family understanding better...(parents and siblings)

Anyhow, the sun is shining, the snow is sparkling, Maddie baby is cruising in her walker, Ciara is a singing and humming while she plays...life is good, just wish I could enjoy it more......hugssss all and thanks, sarah:hug:

SandyC 02-06-2008 01:31 PM

Tk, aren't you from TN? If you are, I hope everyone is OK. I cannot believe the damage from the tornados. My sister was woke up at 3am from my mom to get in the storm shelter. A tornado was down the street from her!

I am packing today and watching my house get buried as we speak from snow.

thank you, Sarah.

I never knew what ginger looked like in the wild, so I'm glad a friend showed me... don't they have pretty flowers?

it's so difficult when the stuff going on is invisible... and impossible to explain to our children...

you'll look back on quiet days like this with remembered joy.

even if it doesn't FEEL like it now... just sorta draggin' butt, and fakin' it, I remember it well...

and the REASON I remember it? because I wrote it down on the calender... the kids' new words, new tricks, simple joys, and other fun things.

when I purged tons-lots of stuff (18 years of school stuff, lol, total pack-rat!) I KEPT the stack of calenders... for the beautiful memories.

so, go write down somewhere safe what you just posted, about Ciara and Maddie, okay?

:hug::grouphug::hug:

I hope you get some kind of relief soon Sarah. Trace Adkins has a new song out called "Your Gonna Miss This" and it's about your kids growing up and how they are going to miss some things.

So sweet. I hope you get a chance to hear it. Here is the link. Just click on the video. Your Gonna Miss This

OK, this song just had me close to tears. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...blinky/aww.gif it's so true.

barb02 02-06-2008 04:43 PM

Renee -- Thanks; a Kentucky Browns sounds yummy.

Just got back a about an hour ago from my 3rd tysabri infusion. I did not have an allergic reaction this time (benadryl must have helped). I am feeling a bit more tired than usual.

Hope everyone is doing as far as the weather goes.

I guess we lucked out -- had bad thunder storms and tornado watches but no actual tornado. Today -- wind, rain, sleet, and snow. Luckily a friend drove me to ty appointment as it is about 50 miles each way.

Time for a nap!!!:Yawn:

Me? Oh gosh, no. I am in Arizona. Our bad weather consists of monsoons in the summer. YEAH! Actually, they can be pretty bad. In the mountains they get a lot of snow and winter storms.

I feel for all of you who are dealing with this crazy weather. You are all welcome to come visit for the winter. Although, it might be a little cozy. LOL. Hey, there's plenty of room at DBF's rental! We can even bring the motorhome for privacy and the yard is huge and can fit some tents and cots. LOL. Winter Commune in the Desert!!!!:p

sabimax 02-06-2008 09:10 PM

thanks guys...
sandy that song is sweet...

The kids are such sweetness to my life..Maddie makes hubby and I smile so very much....

I have kept their baby books up to date...amazing but even baby number five has a lot in her baby book....:)

Just sxs a bugging me today and last few days....having a hard time of it...
but I will get thru :winky: hugss to all, sarah

sabimax 02-06-2008 09:20 PM

hey Sandy, the song made me cry, Ciara came in and started dancing to it...she is soooo funny....then we danced together....
I hear that, life goes too too fast, and then they are grown...I already see my son age almost 15, has grown so fast....and miss him as a youngen...although it is nice now to have more of a adult relationship as they get older...but then see them still want the hugggggs from mom....

I so enjoy each day, each moment with the kids...I always have wished I didnt have to work so much outside the home...so as to have more time with them, also my sxs take so much away from US.....as I need so much rest, and sometimes this lost feeling of not really being here even though here....

Anyhow, back to the kiddos...about to rock little Maddie to sleep after I nurse her, still nursing her when home, she also does bottles...then when I work....

hugsss all, sarah

NaeNae 02-06-2008 11:22 PM

WOW I'm not sure what happened I posted a big post this morning and apparently it disappeared into thin air! Hope all of you storm affected people are Ok...we were supposed to get it today...still might get rain tonight but as usual once it hits the coast here it has been super windy all day and 80 degrees but no weather! Sarah...cherish the moments...having two kids at vastly different ages I now see all the things I missed with my first one!

Kay-I never would have thought ginger looked so pretty!

Barb- YAY on the Tysabri!

Sandy-hugs g/f!!

FinLady 02-07-2008 08:47 AM

Good morning all :) Have coffee in hand and dragging this morn. Did a lot yesterday.

My hair needed cut and for the very first time in my life - got it colored at the hair place. They did a much better job than the home stuff -LOL. I'm hooked. :D

I have training today. JD Powers is coming to inspect our office soon because we qualified for an audit. (This is a good thing, :) ) Someone who has been through this before is coming in to show us what is needed to pass this. Not expecting too much, since very few have passed their first inspection.

Gettting to work is going to be interesting today. We have flood warnings and watches every where. Of course, it's also only 33 right now after the string of warm days we had. :rolleyes:

Enough of my rambling. :D Hope everyone feels better soon and stays safe.

Good morning, Aunt Flow showed up right as I was getting ready to go to sleep last night so I'm in a B*****http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...y/ranting2.gif Mood today. But this will be my 1st cycle while my body is acting up (and not being sick) so I can't wait to see if things are going to clam down or really flair up.

Thanks Fin! You just got to get through it.

I have been thinking of everyone in Tornado areas. It was so good to hear so many of you from the affected areas. My heart goes out to everyone of you and your neighbors.

SandyC 02-07-2008 11:40 AM

TK, that's right! You are in the warm weather...I am so jealous! Hmmm, maybe we should all migrate to your house!

Sarah, isn't that a great song? I cried too. I look at my 19 and 21 year old and just sit back in awe. Then they do something to remind me they still need me. Like a minor car wreck or car breakdown. lol

Renee, hugs to you too! How is hubby doing? How is everyone else doing? Are you ready to fall over?

Jenn, I hope the coffee gets you going! I bet your hair looks great. Once I went to have my hair colored by my stylist I too was hooked. I'll pay to keep my hair healthy looking. I never got the color I wanted at home.

Julie, it took me until now to figure out what Aunt Flow was...lol It's been so long since she showed up at my door! I hope ya feel better soon and don't have a flair.

Gigi, I am glad we are hearing from everyone too. I may try to call Momma today to see how things went and if they are OK.

UPDATE: The reason I made the comment about Chris and Nik is after Chris wrecked his car Nik called yesterday and his wouldn't start. $400 to fix the spark plus, wires and clean the engine where he flooded the heck out of it. He had the money so that's good. But he also needs tire rods so that's an extra cost. We'll probably help him if he needs it. Chris is getting just the hood fixed because he wants to wait and see if he can get a better price. They wanted $1300 to fix the bumper and flatten out the hood but until they pop the hood we wait. There may be more damage we can't see. :-(

And packing...lol

:D never heard THAT one before!

thanks for the giggle...

my update: hatchin' baby TURKEYs now here at Chez Kay in da jungle.

only half a dozen so far (we're small-scale) but still exciting!

I wandered around in the early-morning cool, snapping pix of my ducks and the solar array (installation delayed due to some FITTINGS missing from the package, and difficulty obtaining them, ALAS!)

and just gloried in the quiet, passing out the morning corn and cabbage leaves...

it's a lovely morning here, with the sun trying to send bright shafts streaking through the clouds, and the clouds trying to gather up sufficient mass for a rainfall.

wonder who's gonna win?

Vonn07 02-07-2008 12:29 PM

hey all . guess I better post before you send out a search party for me to see if I'm snowed in! LOL

read everyone's posts ... hope you all are having a good/great day!

***UPDATE***

well, tax season has saved my butt again ... but, I'm not doing what I've done in the past! some changes are made! paying off what I can - and the rest can wait!

sugarboo 02-07-2008 12:53 PM

We are having a heatwave today...up to 8 whole degrees :cool:

I've been such a good girl doing my school work all week. I'm learning about pathogens, the immune system and still working on memorizing Medical terminology (Latin and Greek). Very interesting how they use one word to speak an entire sentence!!

I'm feeling good, upbeat and my PT seems to be working even after only 2 visits. Who'd a thunk it? (Kicking self for not trying it before!) Having some trouble sleeping on the new Lexapro I started....I'll give it a day or two to see if I'm going to need help for a week or two. Gotta have my sleep!!

Hope all is well for my board buddies :D

suzyqz_2007 02-07-2008 12:56 PM

Hello everyone, I hope all is well in your part of the world. I'm not sure why but I'm in a weird mood today, one of those should I cry, get mad, sleep or what? kind of moods. :confused:

Maybe it's (as my dh says) a woman thing! lol Anyway, I saw this and thought I'd share it with y'all, hope ya don't mind!

Been busy today getting ready for my trip. I leave early Saturday morning. I am hoping the weather and flights are decent.

Checking out all the moles on my body.:rolleyes: (tysabri post). I really did not need one more thing to worry about regarding ty.

Vonn, Hope you are ok. I know Wisconsin got hit pretty bad yesterday with all of the snow.

Suzy, Really liked your post. We all have those days.

Glad I do not have to deal with "Aunt Flo" anymore. Never called it that either. I think we called it the"curse" (Catholic School thing). Now, we need an appropriate name for hot flashes

I hope everyone has a nice Valentine's Day:circlelove: I can't believe I just put that icon on here. It is so not me:eek: What is MS doing to me?

I probably won't be checking in much, if at all, while I am gone. I think I need some computer free days.

Hey ladies! I actually had to peel my carcass out of bed this morning because hubby and I have an appointment to get our taxes done. I am taking a glass class on Saturday and you'd think I was leaving town because the whole gang wants to come along and I said NO! It's just for me...I need time away from here!

Barb and Sandy you both have safe trips! Barb you have fun,Sandy you try not to kill anyone!LOL

CayoKay 02-08-2008 09:01 AM

Mornin' everybody!

I feel like toast warmed over this am...

got swollen glands, a snotty cough, and my sinuses are plugged.

so, I'm headed off to the local clinic for some antibiotics and an exam.

but my animals still need to be fed, and I gotta hop in the shower...

oh WHERE am I gonna FIND the energy?

wah! wah! wah! :D:wink::D

here's my UPDATE-thing-a-ma-jigger:

baby chickens just hatched yesterday!

lol, I know EXACTLY how you feel!

it's SOOOO exciting!

two years ago, I lived in a rental shack, and the village "pipe" water failed OFTEN.

so, I had a stash of gallon bleach bottles filled with tap water, which I'd hold overhead in the shower (it's a LOT warmer HERE, lol! so I can DO that, wouldn't wanna in snow-country though!)

it was sort of a sponge bath, standing...

felt like a pioneer in the Wild Wild West!

but ya gotta WASH daily, or ya start to MARINATE here!!!!

:hug::hug::hug:

tkrik 02-08-2008 09:09 AM

LOL, Renee. I love your description of getting out of bed this morning. I was a little like that this morning too. I had to lay there a bit and test the water before fully getting up.

*singing* "Von has water, Von has water. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah." LOL. So glad you have water now. You are very resourceful. I never would think to keep extra water around just in case.

Barb - Have a great trip and enjoy the weather.

Sandy - You have a great trip as well. When is your mom's biopsy?

Kay - Love the cartoons! I don't have a term for hot flashes. I haven't experienced that as of yet so I can't think of one. However, from what other women have described to me I think "the curse" would be more appropriate for hot flashes. Hoping that if I have to have them it's not for several years. I'm too young for that, I think. :Scratch-Head:

~~~~~
Don't know what I am going to do today other than straighten up, run some errands, and make sure DD17 is drinking lots of water, cranberry juice, etc. but not too much.
We spent several hours in the ER yesterday as she had a lot of blood in her urine (when I saw it I had to question her if her period was starting. That's how much was there!:eek:). She also was in a lot of pain and collapsed on the bathroom floor. So her doctor said to bring her to the ER and canceled her appt with him. Poor girl has a bladder infection. (DUH!).
I hope you all have a good day.
CayoKay 02-08-2008 09:48 AM
oh, TK, your poor dear daughter!
bladder infections are no fun.
hope it clears up right quick!
