thank you Sandy

Renee, hopefully with your ma there you'll be able to rest for a few days, and I pray they are able to operate real soon on hubby, so this will ease his troubles, been on ice diets, annoying as hell ,

Cayo interesting critter got a look of hedge hog to its face or something like wild boar look to its snout cool I envy you would trade places in a heart beat

question for all you MSers KIdneys? as yall know I am having a relapse, but never do I recall my kidney hurting like it does and am drinking plenty of water and no trouble down there, well no more trouble than what was normal 2-3 weeks ago

feels like someone sucker punched me back there, has anyone else had kidney pain with a flair? or relapse?

this relapse has been the oddest one yet:holysheep:

FinLady 04-06-2008 01:04 PM

Sandy, Thanks for the update on Renee. I hope her mom is a blessing during this time. Still praying over here.

Kay, I've heard of Pacas, but have never seen a pic. Thanks. :)

Frank, :hug: Sorry you are having an odd flare. I've never had kidney pain with mine.

~~~~~
It's really nice out today. Went and worked on my landscaping a bit. It is really overgrown and yucky since I haven't been paying attention to it like I should. :holysheep:
Of course now taking a break. Muscle fatigue is not fun. :( On the plus side I have some time off of work coming up that will help me with working on my lawn. I love yard work and I've decided not to let this MS keep me from what I enjoy. :mad: Just need to pace myself.
sabimax 04-06-2008 03:51 PM
Hope you get in to see the doc.
barb02 04-07-2008 09:00 AM
Frank -- Go To The Doctor!!! Oh -- you are going -- good!
Renne -- glad your mom is there to help out!
Kay -- Cool Pictures!
Hope everyone is doing well. I am trying to enjoy the nice weather and stay off of the computer.:rolleyes: Will check in tonight!
tkrik 04-07-2008 09:34 AM
Frank - OK Flare Bro, that is so weird that I saw your post about your kidney area. I woke up sore in that area too!:eek: However, I think it is just spasticity for me as it feels more muscular - not painful, just sore. (Don't worry I have an appt with urologist tomorrow anyhow.) I am glad Deb is making you go to the doctor. What a good wife she is.:D And no, I did not overdo it at all.:) I learned that the hard way several times and it finally has sunk in - when in a flare, take care. Not going there again. Let us know how things go for you today.
Fin - What a smart woman you are taking a break like that. It is amazing how quickly we can get physically fatigued. I am proud of you for knowing when to stop and rest.
Sarah - What a cute picture!:):) I like it. I am glad that the snow is starting to melt now and soon you will be enjoying the nicer weather. What a big sigh of relief that will be.
Kay - OMG! That is so cool. I have never heard of gibnuts before. I have learned so much from you posts. (as has DD16 as I show her the pictures. She loves them too.) Thank you.
Barb - Waving hi. I'm trying to stay off the computer too. Although, it's hard when that is how I get my work. LOL. BTW - how are you feeling?
~~~~
I spent most of my day yesterday prepping my canvas for painting. Trying out some of these mediums and new techniques. Hey, you artists, do you ever have days where every time you load your paint brush and apply it the canvas it turns to shat? That was my day yesterday. UGH! No, double UGH! Today, maybe, I will fix all the mistakes from yesterday. Although my mom, who is an awesome watercolor artist, always tells me in art there are never mistakes. She's right. So I will rework my designs today and create something different than originally planned. LOL.

Hope you all have a great day! Still trying to send some warm, dry air your way.

Frank, just pick up a pencil and doodle. It doesn't have to be anything. Just have fun with it. For me it is quite relaxing. BTW - the 1st one is made up of nothing but dots. While it takes a while to do, I end up getting so in to that I relax some and think of nothing else but placing dots on the paper. Great way to take your mind off of things.:D

Oh well!!! That's life I guess but it's really starting to grate on my nerves, this thing they call living!!! :icon_twisted:

Fin - I missed the race yesterday. Carl Edwards won, right? I caught the end where the commentators were saying their "goodbyes.":( Next weekend instead of going to the race, we're going camping (sissy camping - motorhome) and fishing so we'll miss that one too.

FinLady 04-07-2008 10:56 AM

TK, Yep. Edwards won yesterday. Dale Jr. is still 4th in the point standings thankfully. :)

As to the painting, yep - I've had days like those. One of which actually turned out better when I fixed it. Some of them are still "what in the world is that?" So totally understand.

Barb, Hope you enjoy the beautiful day.

Another update on Renee's hubby. His enzymes were up higher yesterday. He's hanging in there and so is Renee. He may be in the hospital for several weeks at this point. :(

I spoke with Renee's mom yesterday. I'll probably speak with her again today and talk her head off as Renee so sweetly told her. Haha!

I'll update more later when I talk to Renee or her mom.

tkrik 04-07-2008 11:10 AM

Renee - Ok, amping up the prayers for you and your family and sending lots of cyber:hug::hug::hug::hug:'s.

Sandy - Thank you so much for updating us and being such a good friend to Renne. You're awesome.

NaeNae 04-07-2008 07:06 PM

hey folks....Frank glad you are going to doc!

Hubby's levels actually came down a little today!!! not alot but maybe we are turning the corner, they started him on TPN (IV nutrition) today besides his regular IV since it has been 5 days since he has eaten or drank anything. Still doc says maybe by friday he can have some clear liquids depending on if his levels keep going down or not then we still have the surgery to contend with.

thanks for all of the thoughts and prayers...although I don't have time to respond to everyone I really appreciate them! And Sandy is the bestest friend ever!

CayoKay 04-07-2008 07:29 PM

oh, NaeNae... good to hear things are improving for your hubby!

I was just uploading pix of my little Wok-Woks for Olivia's thread...

FinLady 04-08-2008 07:21 AM

Renee, Thanks for the update. I hope this slight turnaround becomes a big one. I'm glad they are giving him nutrition IV at this point. Prayers still being sent your way. :hug:

Sarah, As my Italian husband would say "forget about it". :D We all have days where we can't keep up. I too have days where I enjoy everyone's posts, but only have enough mind power to post my update. So totally understand

Frank, sorry to hear your doc isn't quite sure what to do with you. At least it sounds like he's not too worried at this point, which is kind of good. As my dad always said "it's better to find out it's nothing than to ignore it and find out later it's something major"

Sandy, I agree with the others. You are a great person for keeping us updated. :hug:

~~~~~
LOL, think the first cup of coffee is kicking in. I'm very talkative this morning. :Talkative:
I woke up early this morning. Think I'm nervous about the inspection we have this afternoon at work, LOL. I keep telling myself that there's nothing we can do about it now since part of it is based on last year's stuff and that I straightened up everything before I left last night.
After that, neuro appointment, of which I've been writing stuff out as I think about it. I'm going alone so definitely need to write stuff down.
But after that - I'm off from work. :Dancing-Chilli: Vacation here I come.
greta 04-08-2008 08:05 AM
Excellent news Renee - hope he keep moving forward!
weegot5kiz 04-08-2008 08:08 AM
:Wave-Hello: Morning all
I can hear the coffee brewing on the stove :Excited:
Fin hope you appt goes well , hopefully i read that right slow mode here was up late last night trouble sleeping, the coffee IV is taking too long,
As for me , he did ultrasound and either ct or xrays, but they took pics and pretty sure it was a ct becasue they compared with one a few weeks old almost same area, honestly, I was a bit doped up.:ooo:
they gave me some strong meds for pain, the one syllable word med:thud: checked blood and and everything so, like your pa said better to be sure of naught than say :yikes: down the road.
Barb hope you are doing well
Renee hope you got some rest, and hope the news keeps coming this way all day
Tk hope you are well (do they know about the late night cruise we took the other night):eek:
Sandy hm the words sandy and well in same sentence I dont know lol just kidding the two go together very well, Say hello to Jim for Deb and myself please, hope you both are doing well, Really glad you posted that you tube of your kids and their folks education money hard at work we actually watched it again last night deb and i they did good, i got a kick out of it.
:Head-Spin: if nothing else remembering, and doing this each day and recalling the names is HARD LOL , it is good for me,:Wheel:
Vonn hope your day goes smoothly
Sharon howdy hope you are well
Sarah hope you are doing well too
:Bang-Head: if I missed anyone sorry, almost did our naturalist:eek: I mean the person down with nature, i mean the natural i mean
howdy Cayo hope all is well in your neck of the woods :Dancing-Chilli:
peace
tkrik 04-08-2008 08:40 AM
Well, dang Frank! You did a good job with the names and events. I don't know who knows about our late night cruise in my candy apple red corvette.:p That is good news about the spasms as it is better to have that than trouble with your kidneys. I hope you start to improve.
Renee - Thank you so much for taking the time to update us. You are amazing! I am glad to hear that there is some improvement with hubby and I will pray that trend continues. In the meantime, rest when you can and let your mom help you out. BTW - How are the kids doing through all of this? Give them extra hugs from us.
Sarah - That is so sweet! I remember when my youngest brother (6 years younger) was a baby and I would hold him and cuddle him all the time. One of my younger brothers commented on it. I can't believe he remembered as he was so young but he would say that no one else could hold the baby and the baby only wanted me. LOL. Funny how that is. (As far as ages go I am right smack in the middle - 6 years younger than the oldest and 6 years older than the youngest). I am sure all the kids in between them feel like my brother did. LOL. They want a chance with her.
Fin - Good luck today at both the neuro's and with the inspection at work. I hope all goes well with both.
Nothing to update other than I am starting to improve each day. I still have to change positions frequently. It still amazes me how much we use the muscles in our rib cages. They do everything. I am most comfortable laying flat on my back and not moving. However, it is not in my personality to do that all day. :D The nerves in the area are settling down and aren't being so sensitive.
Hope you all have a good day!
barb02 04-08-2008 09:17 AM
Good Morning everyone!
I hope everyone is doing well. I am amazed by those of who remember to respond to all of these posts. At times I just read the posts because I do not have the energy to respond to everyone. That being said:
Renee -- Give your mom a hug from all of us! Hope your guy continues to improve.
Frank -- Hope your pain gets better. Enjoy the buzz from the pills:D
Tk -- Glad to hear your are moving around. I have a constant squeezing in my left rib cage around to my spine. Somedays it is worse than others. It also feels better when I lay down.
finn -- good luck with your job inspection and your neuro apointment tomorrow!
Sarah -- I don't think we have ever met :Wave-Hello: each other.
Sandy -- Hope you are enjoying the weather. We are supposed to get some storms today and the temp is supposed to fall. Saturday is supposed to be in the mid forties so it will probably be even colder up north. Shoot!!!
Kay -- Hope you are doing better!
Hope I did not miss anyone:D
My update -- I am doing ok. I am not doing as well as I was before my nasty ty infusion but I am alright. I was just so happy not to be using my cane all of the time and I am hoping I can get back to that. I am going to Myrtle Beach in 3 1/2 weeks and want to be able to get around and go into the water. Can you take canes into the ocean:rolleyes:
I went to see Leatherheads a few days ago and enjoyed it. Not a great movie but cute. I need to get moving now. I have a few errands to run, and then I am going out to lunch with my former secretary. She retired several years ago.
I have not heard anything from the ms center at Barnes Hosptial or my insurance yet.
If you made it to the end ot his long post -- I hope you have a good day!;)
tkrik 04-08-2008 09:25 AM
Hi Barb, I made it the end of the post. LOL.
I too have the constant squeeze. It's always there in my left rib cage as well. This time it got out of hand and very nervy and I knew what was going on.
I am glad you are doing somewhat better. Have you tried calling the insurance and/or the MS center? Let us know what happens. In the meantime, I hope you continue to improve.
sea2006 04-08-2008 10:48 AM
Hey Frank!! Let me be frank with Frank!! :icon_lol: You must have a great memory to be able to remember all the names you do. :holysheep:
I'm doing ok although having a great deal of trouble with my breathing still. Hope you are doing well. :Wave-Hello:
Weather is great here today 7C and sunny. Gives the old spirits a lift. :Excited:
Gotta run :OuttaHere:
Sharon :hug:
FinLady 04-08-2008 10:50 AM
TK and Barb, hope you both show steady improvement from all the stuff you've both been through. :hug:
~~~~

Just relaxing before I leave for work. Getting really nervous now, LOL. I have no idea what to expect for this inspection. :confused: Knowing my imagination, I'm making it worse than it's going to be - LOL

Hope the day will treat you all well. :grouphug:

SandyC 04-08-2008 10:52 AM

Crap! I saw snow on the stupid weather yesterday. Today they changed it to just plain old cold. CRAP!

And how is everyone today? lol

FinLady 04-08-2008 11:00 AM

Sandy, they are calling for rain and possible snow later this week. I picked one doozy of a time to go on vacation, lol :D

Sea, sorry to hear you're still having trouble with the breathing. Hope this improves for you soon. :hug:

tkrik 04-08-2008 02:14 PM

OK, back from the uro. Urodynamics tests starting tomorrow including a kidney ultrasound on Thursday to make sure I am not backing up and damaging the kidneys.

Sandy - sorry about your weather. Come on down and warm up. Go for a swim, sit in the sun, enjoy. Heck, I'll have DDs bring you some pina coladas. :D Heck, you all can come. Pool Party!!!

SandyC 04-08-2008 04:02 PM

TK, I hope your tests come out fine. I remember when Jim had to go through all that stuff.

FinLady 04-08-2008 04:38 PM

TK, Thanks for the invite for a pool party :D Hope your testing goes well.

~~~~
The inspection itself wasn't bad, but won't know for a month or two how it went. The lady doing the inspection was nice and it seemed to go well.
Neuro visit was uneventful. I appear as clinically stable as my MRI's. :)
Downside is now I have to learn the "work smarter not harder" way of doing things. Because of my bad reaction to provigil, my neuro is really hesitant to give me a stimulant that's even stronger - even with a good stress test. :(
Hmmm. I'm thinking it's magarita time. Oh wait, that'll make me even more tired. LOL :D
barb02 04-08-2008 05:36 PM
TK -- I am on my way! I also hope your tests tun out ok.:hug:
Sandy, Pulling my sweathers back out of the closet:(
I need to share this story with you guys. My niece Anya (2 years, 5 months) likes to talk on the phone with me. So she called me a liitle while ago and when I answered she said, "Hi Barbara. Nicco's daddy hit him in the face. " And when I said that made me sad, she said "it made her sad too and that her mommy and daddy were nice." Nicco is her little buddy at day care. She told my sister as soon as she go in the car what happened. My sister is going to talk to the director of the day care tomorrow. I felt so bad for both Nicco and that my little, sweet niece had to see something like that at such a young age. She is so smart and funny. She sang me her ABC's yesterday on the phone.
weegot5kiz 04-08-2008 06:07 PM
TK best of hope on these test, I know what you are going through, I hope it is like me a spasm, :)
Fin that is and was the hardest thing for me to learn and keep in control of not overdoing it and learning to just pace myself or make two trips, I have gotten better at it, well sort of, ok every few days i think about it, i mean i did it last month one time, its harder if you are a go go type of person too
everyone else I hope your day was smooth and all went well,
I am in a lazy Monday mood on a Tuesday, so I should pop back in and out and I also had five 8 minute naps today, so i should be up all night
awe barb, someone Else's father hit Nicco? can we say that guy would be lunch meat , yeah I know violence isn't an answer, I keep re-Reading this to make sure I am reading it right,
she sounds like an intelligent child,
god I am having such cog fog todayarghhhhh
this is the 5th time I have read it I did misread it, still hopefully this can be corrected and real soon.
SandyC 04-08-2008 06:38 PM
Awww Barb, I hope the director can get to the bottom of that. Nicco probably told Anya since she is little like him. I will say a silent prayer for Nicco that his daddy doesn't hit him anymore. Hopefully it isn't as serious as it sounds.
barb02 04-08-2008 06:54 PM
Frank, His own father hit him in the face. We really do not know if she saw it happen or not. My sister said she (my niece) kept telling her that she was nice. I think she was trying to reassure herself that her mommy and daddy would never hit her. And they wouldn't! They are still having a problem putting her in time out. I think they hold out for one minute.
sabimax 04-08-2008 07:00 PM
ahh Barb, hoping the center at least keeps eye on it..or can do something..with the info....hugssssss
sandy IT IS SNOWING RIGHT NOW>>>>today was the first day our ice cream shop opened for the season...since it is April...even though snow on ground..and now tonight it is SNOWING>..we are suppose to get 3-6 inches..you got to be kidding me.....:mad:
Frank, some of the ladies here I have kept in touch with in insights for a long time...just bad with names..or memory.....
OH all, I took the job..I will be a store manager starting the 20th at our owners Walmart McDonalds store...woohoooo the big boss...at first it will be challenging..as I have to be a bit tough to straighten out the place...but once get it fixed up to my standards...it should be relaxing some compared to my work now..with a drive thru..hehehe
hugsss all, gotta go a show I watch is on..and the kids want some cuddle time..hugsss,sarah
Poor kids! (Your niece and Nicco). Like Sandy, I hope it is not as serious as it sounds. Although I never discredit what a little one tells me, sometimes we have encourage them to say more so that we can make an accurate judgment.
When DD16 was in elementary school the school counselor came in to the class and talked about abuse. Well, DD16 piped up and said that she lives in an abusive home. So guess who calls me at work, the counselor. The story was that DD16 meant her sister hits her. LOL. I freaked out.
I did not give this counselor much credit as she held a group session for kids of divorce and DDs went to the group. The stories they came home with were so shocking I pulled them out of that group. I think this counselor liked to hear these stories of all the "men" that slept over at mommy's house and the "women" that slept at daddy's house. The group was completely inappropriate and this counselor should have been able to redirect the discussion and talk to the other kids privately about the things that were mentioned in the group. DD's were never exposed to that type of thing and they had a hard time understanding the sleep overs as well as the detailed accounts the kids were giving. (need I say more.)
