Barb - Thank you for the sweet compliment. I don't always have a good attitude when I am in pain. I try though and try to distract myself from it.

You'll be fine. I have found that looking at my symptoms as somewhat temporary is so helpful to me. I have learned through experience that tomorrow they all may just magically disappear as magically they appeared. Of course, realistically, they can all magically reappear but I try not to think of THAT. LOL.

You also have all of us to help you through this. Someone is here 24/7.:hug:

sabimax 04-04-2008 06:12 PM

hey all,
sorry havent kept up....I miss you all when I dont get time to visit...:(

I am sending hugss to all...just busy with the kids, and work...contemplating a new job thru same owner....hugss to all, sarah (still waiting for all the snow to melt...)

NaeNae 04-04-2008 07:39 PM

I meant to tell all of yall that I had been in contact w/Sandy the whoel time and that her computer was down and Jim was fine...but my memory failed me!

Hubby's enzymes were back up today..so he is still on IV fluids and nothing to eat or drink until at least Monday...surgery is whenever the enzymes are better. I am flying my mom in to help out as I am almost at my limit..I am exhausted..can barely move....in pain, pretty much the same as everyone else! But will be grateful for the extra help for awhile!

Good Morning everyone!

The sun is finally out and we are supposed to have seveal days in the sixties. :D Feeling a little better today. Hoping my problems are just related to my last infusion and not a flare.

Renne, That's great that your mom is coming to help you. Hang in there.

Kay -- Gender and the law is a complicated subject, but I will not assign every case and reading in the text. Probably:p

Frank -- glad your headaches are getting a bit better. May need some allergy meds to stop sneezing?

Hope you all are having a good weekend!

weegot5kiz 04-05-2008 08:52 AM

heres one i just did in creative corner in our tag poetry thingy section I do try, I just want that novel type of poem that sums it all up cant seem to grasp it all, in one poem. maybe cause theres so much involved, i dont know

" waiting"

waiting for an answer
or some clue
maybe a cure
leaves me blue

so i strive onward
and do not wait
the pent up angry
could build to hate

I can not allow
MS to take over me
so I keep trying
setting my soul free

I waited before
long nights alone
raising kids solo
my hope still shone

waited during test
when my son had seizures
they say this is gods test
its how we are measured

how many test
can one person bare
you'd be surprised
if you have friendships to share

Yes I have MS
I shall wait no more
My life is mine
I control that door

enjoy your mornings, I too noticed the weather says 63 today wow cool farout kids have yard work lol

tkrik 04-05-2008 09:07 AM

Good morning Fin, Sarah, Frank & everyone else.

Fin - Maybe today you can just kick back, relax, and do another painting? Now that is my idea of a good Saturday.:D I too would love to see your work.

Sarah - How sweet of you to offer to take Fin to work with you. LOL. I hope you have a good day at work.

Frank - You are up early after our wild ride last night. LOL. I love your poem. That is great.

Barb - Glad you are feeling somewhat better this morning. Think positive thoughts - it's not a flare, it's not a flare.:p I really hope it is not a flare. I know that you had been sick so maybe it is just a result? Oh, heck, what am I talking about. I was sick most of March (2 colds, a sinus infection, allergies) and now MS is making me pay for it. LOL.

OMG! I just realized something. I never say my MS. I say my sinuses, my allergies, my head but never my MS. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Disassociation disorder when relating to MS? LOL.

I slept in this morning (6:30). This sun was just starting to come up. It's going to be a sunny clear day today but hot. Anything over 75 is hot to me.:p:p

I hope you all have a wonderful day. (BTW- Can you tell I am feeling better? I am getting there. Yeah!)

weegot5kiz 04-05-2008 09:20 AM

good glad to hear you are feeling better,TK, see what a late night cruise with the top down, good tunes crank and throwing your spirit to to wind will do

FinLady 04-05-2008 12:26 PM

tkrik 04-05-2008 04:08 PM

MS images . . . I did these a while ago and used them for the ATC cards as they seem to fit with MS.

CayoKay 04-05-2008 05:47 PM

welcome, Sea!

glad you found us, and pleased to meet you.

today was a "blah" day for me.

woke up before dawn, with wrenching foot cramps (heck of a way to greet the day! :eek: )

then, it was off to market, and running errands, and I felt sooooo tired, but I went anyway, to search out goodies for my animals (thrown-away cabbage, lettuce, bok choy, celery, etc.)

then, a short break at a tamale stand, for muy delicioso bollos, and horchata (sweet rice milk)

then... on the way back home... the CLUTCH croaked on our truck, and it refused to shift (fun fun!) got that fixed, and ran some errands.

went home, to kitchen-cleaning day (the cabinet builder is coming Monday, to build the shelves for our new house, and everything had to be moved out of the way.

then, a nice long nap, and now it's time to feed my menagerie again (goats, pigs, chickens, geese, ducks, guinea pigs, turkeys, and rabbits, whew!)

we have houseguests again, and LUCKILY, they're making dinner, so... after I finish my chores, I can kick back for the rest of the evening, goof off, and have fun.

:D:cool::D

FinLady 04-05-2008 06:03 PM

Hi Sea! Glad you found us. :)

Sarah, really hope the new gig with the slower environment helps you out.

Kay, sorry you're having a "blah" day. At least you don't have to worry about dinner and can relax this evening. Have fun.

TK, Thanks for sharing the pics. Those are pretty cool.

Frank, Thanks for your pic of the flowers coming up. My tulips are just starting to peek through the ground.

~~~
Just woke up from taking a nap, lol. Not quite sure yet if it helped. Didn't think I was this tired, but it hit me all of a sudden. Oh well, happens. :)
sea2006 04-05-2008 06:17 PM
Thanks Kay for the WELCOME also FinLady. It was nice to chat with you this morning. I'm having a rather bad week, trouble with my breathing. :Sigh: It's so tiring and I'm exhausted most of the time already. :Zzzz:
Do any of you have this particular problem? If so have you found anything to help ease the problem? :Ponder:
sea2006 04-06-2008 05:07 AM
Breathing?
Hi it's me again,
As far as my breathing problems go, it's due to spasticity, won't allow my diaphragm to fully expand. :Hum: I never had a flair, don't know what that would be like!! I'm Chronic Progressive. Just a steady decline for me. :holysheep:
Oh well!!! That's life I guess but it's really starting to grate on my nerves, this thing they call living!!! :icon_twisted:
Sharon :)
sabimax 04-06-2008 06:30 AM
weegot5kiz 04-06-2008 07:52 AM
good morning everyone,:trampoline:
cool both start with an S now if I can just get the right screen name with the right S
good morning Sharon and Sarah, Sandy and Jim, TK and Fin, Cayo and Barb,
Renee and Vonn, if I missed anyone my apologies, I am still getting all the names down and some days will be hello all meaning my brain is missing,:Wave-Hello: probably in the same place i set down ink pens, there are a lot of ink pens in this house, some where:Clever:
hope the morning finds everyone well:Dancing-Chilli:
as for nerves being pushed I can relate for over 7 yrs it drove my self and my wife nuts and at the end before being Dx I even started second guessing myself and thinking maybe the docs were right time to see a shrink that it was in all in my head, don't think they meant this way though
guess I was lucky though the thoughts of MS never occurred to me, it was always same 5 sx tightness vision slurred speech balance muscle pain, they would charge me countless amounts of money to rule out heart lungs this that back I can say, i got a healthy liver:thud: i use to drink like a fish.
lungs are ok, spleen, gallbladder, heart is so so, something about not putting butter on my butter:Dunno:
the time i got DX i had this severe headache like I have had for this past two weeks, which is actually turning into a marker for me a spinal lesion marker this is the second or third with a severe headache i got to rethink that fact with doc because i cant recall , but the two are definitely connected and he agreed the spinal ones can trigger headaches yet for two yrs:Soapbox: I have been asking him this and he says no yet I keep getting two week migraines and I don't get head aces, ever
:Bang-Head:
so hope everyones day is like ours was yesterday nice and pleasant and spend time with friends and family and enjoy one another:Head-Spin:
soxmom 04-06-2008 09:57 AM
Renee, HOw are you holding up?????? I hope your husband does well
this week with whatever may be in the future.:)
Thinking of you,
Sox
FinLady 04-06-2008 10:12 AM
Good morning all :) Got a lot to do today, so I'm hoping the coffee kicks in soon, LOL. My boy made the pole for the race today, so I'll be watching NASCAR this afternoon.
~~~~~

Renee, Still praying for ya, hun. :hug:

Frank and Sea, hope ya feel better soon.

Sarah, hope you have a good day at work today.

CayoKay 04-06-2008 11:21 AM

mornin' Frankie-me-boyo!

how's things up in your neck of the woods?

exciting news last evening... I spotted a bunch of gibnuts by my pond...

they look sorta like GIANT chipmunks or squirrels:

http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/8376/gibnutle8.jpg

Each evening, I like to sit quietly beside my pond, feeding the ducks and meditating on the meaning of life.

After I hand out the corn and cabbage, weather permitting, I like to stick around for awhile, and watch the ducks mate, make nests, and go swimming.

Today, I saw little fishies making ripples, and a few frogs hopping around (the fast ones, that've escaped the ducks), and then... out of the corner of my eye, I spotted a small brown mammal approaching.

I *froze* in position, as the gibnut (also known as an agouti, or paca) ambled past the pond, coming within a few feet of me... it was my closest look yet at the female of the pair I've spotted a few times around our land.

Then, I realized... there was another, and another, and ANOTHER, coming out of the brush!

At first, I thought, it was a momma with a litter of three... but then I remembered, they only have ONE baby, maybe two at a time...

An adult paca weighs between 6 and 12 kg. (13 to 26 pounds) It has two litters per year, each having usually one young, sometimes two; gestation lasts 115–120 days.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paca

So, what I saw must have been TWO family groups, as there were DEFINITELY *three* small ones!

so, when I feed my ducks at 5 pm today, I'm going to be READY, with the camera, on a tripod... wish me LUCK, kiddies !!

:D:cool::D

yeah, I think I know what you mean.

I try to make the best of it, and keep on keepin' on.

I'm Secondary Progressive, and have had MS for 20 years now (first symptoms on Valentine's Day in 1988)

but on days when all my sx crop up at once (double vision, leg cramps, vertigo, balance probs, bladder issues, etc.) it can be hideous.

then, there's the residual stuff from 20 years of flares... I'm numb from stem to sternum, nose to toes, legs buckle, blind on the right, etc. etc.

and so darn tired and fatigued! at this point, I use a cane, and two ankle braces.

I try to plan my days very carefully, 20 minutes of work, then a nap, or rest...

if I have to run errands, the next two or three days I can't do squat.

yeah, it grates on my nerves... but I just go sit by the pond, and absorb the peace and quiet, and it heals my soul.

I had the "chest thing" once, back in 92 or 93... I remember it well... (ARGGGHHH !!)

glad you could join us, and... (wait a sec! didn't I already WELCOME you? DARN this brain fog stuff, lol!)

:o:rolleyes::o

SandyC 04-06-2008 11:43 AM

Hey all, quick update. I spoke with Renee last night. She is exhausted but her Mom is flying out today to help out. That will be a blessing for her and the family. I know how how difficult it is to have your hubby in the hospital and little ones at home. It's like having your body stretched in all directions. It can be an emotional roller coaster for sure.

Hubby was allowed to have ice chips yesterday. He's on a no food diet for now due to the pancreas inflammation. His enzymes were still up as of yesterday. If they are still up after today or tomorrow, they may order antibiotics for him.

Please continue to pray for Renee's hubby that he will improve and be able to come home soon.

CayoKay 04-06-2008 11:47 AM

*Kay assumes the prayer position*
