Hi Tracy,
everyone else seems to have given great replies regarding your relationship so I won't even try.
But for a walker...try Ebay, Craigslist and the like. There are tons of listings both new and used. I've had to go from crutches to my wheelchair and can fully understand how much help mobility aids can be.
