i can't believe it but i lost 21 pounds. I am cheating today and will have fish for lunch and ordered some deli for the weekend. Even with cheating i still seem to be losing weight on the Ornish diet. I am going to have my cleaning woman make split pea soup today i think. I don't know if i will like it today. it will just be simple with a lot of onions.

Dear Bobby,
That's great that you feel good about your food plan today.
I love pea soup. I don't like the onions so much. I either like it totally plain or with some carrots. At any rate, I hope you like what your cleaning woman makes.

Dear Bobby

that's great the weight is coming off and staying off, "cheats" and all. but as i said, your cheats have been really healthy choices, even if non-Ornish. it is good that you can have some flexibility and it still works though.

i too like pea soup made with carrots. we make it with both carrots and onions as a base... everything then gets milled together after it is cooked, so all the flavors blend. just tell your cleaning helper what you like, and let her worry about the how, how much, when and where to put what, hee hee.

welll....

it looks like i have gained a pound back, if not two. the other day it looked like two. now it looks like one, so i'm hoping one is water weight .... but at least one is most likely for real.

well what did i expect. although, frankly, i didn't expect it.

i haven't been pigging out.

we stopped having icecream maybe a month ago, and i hadn't gained any with that... so what now! :(

maybe the beer. it's not like i have lots of that either - but for a long while i was having maybe one a month.... and have had maybe 10 this month. i didn't have any today, but then, i didn't actually feel like it. it's not like there was any restraint involved.

:Sigh:

Waves

It maybe that you really haven't put on any new weight gain.

There seems to be certain times of the month that we women weight
a couple of pounds more than we did. I am not sure why it just happens.

So I'm hoping its just that time for you.

So I wouldn't worry about it.

Unless you start gaining lots of weight.

I had a banana/ strawberry yogurt and a piece of sugar cream pie.

THen decided to go get a diet coke, and picked up a piece of cheese
pizza. Now that was what sounded good.

I think I'm going hunting for bananas later and having a peanut butter and banana sandwich. THat sounds good. And potato chips.

Dear Donna

thanks! ... and it looks like you are right! :) after reading your post tonight, i got on the scale again and guess what! i'm just under what i weighed before (before i thought i gained). i.e. i haven't gained. i may even have lost a few ounces but that is most likely just a fluctuation too.

your menu sounds good... i am now wanting potato chips. i haven't had potato chips in a long time.

peanut butter and banana sandwich reminds me of Ernie and Bert on Sesame Street, hee hee.

bananas are very healthy foods... rich in so many nutrients...
