Someone on this forum (I think it is this forum?) was fired from her job, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise because she got LTD out of it. We can't be fired from a job, here in Canada, while on STD or LTD. In fact, they had to keep my job open for 2 yrs after I went on LTD, although they could back-fill it in the meantime. I now get LTD + all my benefits (including life insurance and employer pension contributions), right through to retirement age. I don't know what I'd do, trying to raise two daughters disabled, with no money to boot!! ![]() Cherie
